Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
We have to seek God at all times. He knows what’s best for us and He has our best interest at heart. When we try to do things our way, we stumble and make mistakes. He knows our future and he has a path already laid out for us, we just have to trust Him. At the end of the day, God has the final say in our lives.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9 NLT
Being set apart is what makes us different from the world. Doing the right thing is never wrong. Treating people with respect and showing the love of God regardless of the differences in religion, gender or skin color. When we do this in spite of what others may say we will be blessed. We can’t afford to misrepresent God to a world that desperately needs Him.
Matthew 21:22 NIV
“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Whatever you ask God for have faith that he will answer. Trust that he heard you and believe that it is already done. You can’t pray to God and doubt… it won’t work.
2 Timothy 2:22-24
“Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.”
Temptations come at our weakest moments in life. It looks good and harmless but it’s very deceiving. When we find ourselves in God, he can help us to stay away and lead a righteous life. The people that we hang with can lead us down the wrong path so we have to be strong enough to say no and not be pressured into sin. We have to show the love of God and not get caught up in the foolish things of this world.
