2 Timothy 2:22-24
“Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.”
Temptations come at our weakest moments in life. It looks good and harmless but it’s very deceiving. When we find ourselves in God, he can help us to stay away and lead a righteous life. The people that we hang with can lead us down the wrong path so we have to be strong enough to say no and not be pressured into sin. We have to show the love of God and not get caught up in the foolish things of this world.
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.”
This world puts more emphasis on the outer appearance than anything else. As women we are so much more than our looks. Those things will fade but our fear of the Lord will get us further in life. When we fear God we take on integrity, modesty, dignity and respect for ourselves. We know our worth and it’s through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Religion is a subject a lot of people are passionate about or they avoid it all together. Even the conversation about it can escalate quickly. There are many religions out there that people believe in. The definition of religion is the belief in a god or in a group of gods. Here is what we believe…
We are Christians , Baptist to be technical. We grew up in church and was involved in everything. We praise danced, sang in the choir, and was on the step team. We believe in God the Heavenly Father. We also believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. That believe is what kept us through the hardships and trails we have gone through. This belief is why we live our lives in a certain way. Purity, modesty, and living a life that pleases God is very important to us. In anything that we do, we want the light that is inside of us to shine through. Hopefully by getting to know us the next 30 days you see it. We are not perfect nor do we claim to be but we strive everyday to be better.
The scripture that we use for this blog is Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. We believe this for ourselves and ya’ll too!!
