Hey Ya’ll! Every once in a while we have to give our hair some extra love. I have medium porosity hair and I don’t need to use protein based conditioners often. I use this DC protein pack every couple of months to help with dryness; I tend to have dryness in my crown area.
Coats the hair nicely
Good slip for detangling
I have been using this for a year and I really like my results. My hair responds positively to this deep conditioner. It’s more manageable, less frizzy, and it works great with my other products. Also I like the ingredients, there aren’t any red flags for me personally.
Hey Ya’ll! Long time huh? If you don’t know we had Hurricane Harvey come through Rockport, Houston and surrounding areas. Needless to say it was tough but we didn’t experience any damage to our home. Thank God! If you want to donate, here is a link to JJ Watts Relief Fund for Houston and surrounding areas.

“Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.”
Temptations come at our weakest moments in life. It looks good and harmless but it’s very deceiving. When we find ourselves in God, he can help us to stay away and lead a righteous life. The people that we hang with can lead us down the wrong path so we have to be strong enough to say no and not be pressured into sin. We have to show the love of God and not get caught up in the foolish things of this world.
We all want to make our lives as simple as possible. With so many things going on in one day, sometimes the simplest tasks can become overwhelming. So here are some life hacks that can make your day a little easier…
Stinky Garbage Disposal
So at some point the garbage disposal will have odor from all the food that is chopped up in it. Here is a way to keep it smelling fresh and clean…Lemons. Yes, Lemons, cut them in half and run the garbage disposal and it will smell fresh for up to two weeks.
No More Makeup Highlight…OMG!!!!
Don’t fret you can use any shimmer eye shadow of your choice from a palette with your brush and apply. But don’t forget to blend, blend, blend!!
Out of Color Corrector
Red lipstick can be used to get rid of dark under eye circles. You can use either a brush or apply the stick directly to the skin, blend out that red color. Then apply your concealer and voila…no more dark circles.
Clear Nail Polish
So for my ladies who wear stocking or panty holes clear nail polish will help stop the run. Apply it to the end of the run and it won’t go any further. Also, when wearing a button down shirt and one of the buttons looks like its about to come off, apply the polish to the thread and it won’t unravel.
Love the Candles But Not the Smoke
We love candles and sometimes we don’t have a match, but we have dry spaghetti in the pantry. You can use the dry spaghetti as a match and light the candle. Also, when blowing out the candle the smoke can be irritating because it lingers long after the candle has been blown out. So use the top that came with the candle and put it on top of the lit candle and snuff out the flame and the smoke stays trapped in. F.Y.I…when you go to open the candle next time to light it, it won’t smell like smoke just the candle.
We hope that these life hacks can help you just like they have helped us make our lives just a little bit easier! Have you tried any of these hacks? Let us know!!
Life is full of lessons that teach you to move forward and be our best selves. Some lessons we learned as children and some we learned as adults. Either way they made us in to the people we are today. Here are some that we have learned…
Keep God first and keep Him in everything you do
Life is what you make it
Love is pure and it should come from the heart
People will talk about you whether you are doing good or bad… they just have to have something to say
Work hard and smart
Be humble…it will take you further in life
Take pride in what you do and who you are
Don’t take people for granted
Show love to everyone because you never know what they are facing in their lives
Hey Ya’ll! We all have friends. Some we talk to daily and others not so much. A friend is being kind, supportive and honest. A real friend is going to be there for you no matter what you are going through. They are like our extended family and we share things with them that we don’t actually tell our own family members. Friendships should be cherish and appreciated. But there are those friendships that are toxic. They are based on superficial motives. You know the ones… they are only friends with you because of what you can give them. As soon as you can’t give them what they want they stop all communication. No call , text and they are to “busy” to hang out. No one has time for that. As you get older the less friends you have the better. The “circle” gets smaller and that’s a good thing. Quality over quantity.
