Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
We have to seek God at all times. He knows what’s best for us and He has our best interest at heart. When we try to do things our way, we stumble and make mistakes. He knows our future and he has a path already laid out for us, we just have to trust Him. At the end of the day, God has the final say in our lives.
“Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgement” Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is one of the things that are super important because once we obtain it, we act, think and react differently. We have to have self control and not be hot headed because of a comment or an action. Now there are times where you have to speak up and defend yourself but even then wisdom is needed. Solomon, the writer of Proverbs asked for wisdom, he wanted; craved it. We have to be like him and want it so bad that we can’t live without it. It’s a choice that can be a lifestyle; Live in Wisdom!
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9 NLT
Being set apart is what makes us different from the world. Doing the right thing is never wrong. Treating people with respect and showing the love of God regardless of the differences in religion, gender or skin color. When we do this in spite of what others may say we will be blessed. We can’t afford to misrepresent God to a world that desperately needs Him.
Matthew 21:22 NIV
“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Whatever you ask God for have faith that he will answer. Trust that he heard you and believe that it is already done. You can’t pray to God and doubt… it won’t work.
Song of Solomon 4:7
” You are all together beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way”
God made us in his own image. We are beautiful in our own way and as women we have to see that. Your outside appearance will fade but your inner beauty will last. We should always walk in confidence, grace, and beauty. See yourself as God sees you!
2 Timothy 2:22-24
“Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.”
Temptations come at our weakest moments in life. It looks good and harmless but it’s very deceiving. When we find ourselves in God, he can help us to stay away and lead a righteous life. The people that we hang with can lead us down the wrong path so we have to be strong enough to say no and not be pressured into sin. We have to show the love of God and not get caught up in the foolish things of this world.
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.”
This world puts more emphasis on the outer appearance than anything else. As women we are so much more than our looks. Those things will fade but our fear of the Lord will get us further in life. When we fear God we take on integrity, modesty, dignity and respect for ourselves. We know our worth and it’s through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
