Favorite Product Brands

Hey Y’all, we want to tell y’all about a few our go-to brands, that we love and swear by. These are in no particular order, but first we start with…

Cantu: So y’all know we love us some good hair products. This is a brand that we have been using for quite some time now. Our hair is moisturized, soft and our curls are poppin’.

Fresh Paint & Funky Fingers: These nail polishes are the BOMB!!! They are inexpensive and they have a wide range of color. Y’all can find these at a store called Five Below.

NYX: I think everybody knows about this brand. The lipsticks, foundations, concealers, eyeshadows, setting sprays, and the list goes on. We have used many of their products and we have not had a bad experience.

Dr. Bronners: We have been using this soap for years and WE LOVE IT!! This soap has so many uses, it can be used to clean with, clarify the scalp of any build up, etc. Also there are different scents like, lavender, peppermint, orange and hemp etc.

So these are a few of our favorite things. What are your favorite product brands?

Hey Ya’ll! It’s Erica! So I have been experimenting with co-washing again. “Co-washing is something that you do not something you buy.”- Anthony Dickey  The technique is very important.  So here is how I co-wash my hair.

Section hair into two parts
Finger detangle under water
Apply conditioner to hair shaft and ends (I focus on my ends the most)
Let it sit for about 5-10 min and then rinse

The mistake that I made in the past was putting the conditioner on my scalp. Conditioners do not belong on the scalp; just the hair shaft and ends. It caused so much build up that I had to clarify with Dr. Bronners several times. That was the only shampoo that would thoroughly removed all of that build up.

Co-washing can be a good addition to your hair routine if done properly. It will never replace shampoo but it can keep the curls poppin’  in between wash days.

Do you co-wash? What is your favorite conditioner to use?!?

Carbon Coco

Hey, Ya’ll!! We got the chance to try Carbon Coco a natural teeth whitening system. We used the Ultimate Carbon Kit which retails for $59.90 (original price $69.90) The kit includes bamboo charcoal toothbrush, activated charcoal fluoride free toothpaste, activated charcoal tooth polish and satin bag.

The Run Down

We used both the toothpaste and the activated charcoal for 7 days. No mouthwash or any other toothpaste brand, just Carbon CoCo.

What we liked:
Teeth felt clean
Loved the toothbrush

We didn’t have much success with the toothpaste and activated charcoal. We didn’t see a  our teeth get whiter but the toothbrush was awesome. It was really soft and gentle and really helped with the clean feeling. The Carbon Aqua Flosser and Tongue Cleaner are two things that we would love to try!

Here is little info on Carbon CoCo Continue reading
