Hey Y’all!!! The temperatures are rising and it’s not cooling down. Automatically, we want to protect our skin from the sun but what about our hair. Our hair just like our skin can get damaged by the sun.
Some of the ways that you can tell if there is damage are;
- Split ends
This type of damage can happen when there is prolonged sun exposure, for example being outside at the beach, pool or doing other outside activities.
Here are some ways to prevent this damage from happening…
Cover your hair
- cap, bucket hat, or scarf
Sunscreen. Yes, sunscreen. There is sunscreen for your hair and it’s pretty cool. The convenience of this product is great and there so many to choose from.
- Some come as aerosol spray, hair lotion, or scalp and hair oil. These products can easily become apart of your hair routine.
Temperatures are rising this summer we would not recommend putting oil on your hair, for example grapeseed or coconut oil, because these oils have a high smoke point and this could cause more damage.
So while outside stay protected from head-to-toe.
Let’s keep those curls thriving and shining… #allsummer18
