Coconut oil is extracted from the meat of mature coconuts. It helps with moisture retention. It doesn’t break down easily or evaporate fast so moisture can’t get out.It also helps with protein loss in hair. The molecular weight is low so it can penetrate the hair shaft.
Grape seed Oil
Grape seed oil comes from pressed grape seeds. It is full of antioxidants so it strengthens the hair. DHT is a hormone that causes hair loss. Grape seed oil helps to block that hormone.This oil is also great for pre-pooing.
Jojoba Oil (pronounced as ho/ho/ba)
Jojoba oil comes from the seed of the Simmodsia chinensis (jojoba plant). This oil has a long shelf life because it doesn’t have triglycerides which are fatty acids. This oil is close to the natural oil (sebum) that our skin produces, so using this on your scalp for moisture would be ideal. Plus it can cleanse the scalp by removing excess sebum and other debris.
Olive oil comes from the pressing of whole olives. Extra virgin olive oil is best to use because it has not be chemically treated. Like grape seed oil it stops the production of DTH and is good for beating off bacteria and fungi. It also make your hair shiny and soft. This oil is one of our favorites!
